Why This Blog?
This blog attempts to beef up Christians' political perspectives. It is not about defending two or three moral issues, although such issues will not be neglected. What this blog is about is the promotion of a political perspective which is fully integrated with a mature Christian worldview while being entirely relevant to the current American political scene.
Many Christians do not have a mature and integrated understanding of Christianity and politics. Indeed, many Christians' perspectives are often very superficial, as if the bottom line is to help the poor by redistributing the property of productive members of society or never resorting to a military option. It is as if they vote according to which candidate seems to be the nicer of the two.
I'm not a politician or a political expert. I'm a biblical exegete--someone who analyzes the biblical text to determine its original meeting. But on this basis, I'm bold enough to think that I might be able to say a thing or two about politics which might help believers shape their political view with a mature Christian perspective.
